How To Use Animals Farming
A step-by-step walkthrough to get you comfortable with the platform — from creating your account to selling your first listing on the Marketplace.
Create Your Account
Click Register in the top menu to get started. You'll be asked to choose one of two account types: Full Farm Management if you want the complete system — animals, health, finance, employees, everything — or Marketplace Only if you just want to list and sell animals or equipment without setting up a full farm. You can always start with one and the platform will guide you if you need the other later.
Set Up Your Farm Profile
Once you're logged in, head to Farm Settings and fill in the basics: your farm's name, location, and the type of livestock you raise. This information is what powers your dashboard's defaults and is also what shows up if you list anything on the Marketplace later, so it's worth getting right the first time — though every field here can be changed again anytime.
Add Your First Animal
Go to Livestock → Animals and click + Add Animal. Give it a tag/ID, breed, sex, and birth date — the rest of the profile (health history, breeding records, weight tracking) builds up automatically as you use the system day to day. You can add animals one at a time, or use Bulk Assign if you're bringing in a whole herd at once.
Track Health & Breeding
Under Health, log checkups, vaccinations, and any treatment an animal receives — each entry attaches directly to that animal's own profile, so its full history is always in one place. Breeding works the same way: record matings, expected due dates, and calving outcomes, and the system keeps the parent/offspring relationships connected for you automatically.
Manage Your Team
Go to Employees → Add Employee to invite people who help run the farm. Assign each person a role — under Roles you control exactly what each role can see and do (for example, someone might be allowed to log health checkups but not view finances). Attendance and performance are tracked from the same Employees section once your team is set up.
Handle Your Finances
Under Business, log Income and Expenses as they happen — feed purchases, sales, vet bills, anything money-related. The Profit & Loss report then builds itself from those entries automatically, giving you a real, up-to-date picture of how your farm is doing without needing a separate spreadsheet.
Sell On The Marketplace
When you have animals, equipment, feed, or health products to sell, go to Market → Add Listing. Fill in the price, category, and photos, and it becomes visible to buyers browsing the public Marketplace. Any interest a buyer sends comes back to you as an inquiry under Market Inquiries, so you never miss a message.
