Frequently Asked Questions

How do I track animal health records on Animals Farming?

Animals Farming lets you keep a complete health history for every animal on your farm — vaccinations, treatments, deworming, injuries, breeding notes, and yield data all in one place. You build a profile for each animal when you add it to the system, then log health events as they happen so you have a real record instead of trying to remember or digging through old notebooks.

The system stores this information in a way you can search and filter by animal, date, or type of event. That matters when a veterinarian asks what you've treated an animal for, or when you need to check withdrawal periods before selling milk or meat, or when you're trying to figure out if a breeding problem is new or something that happened before. You can also attach notes about what worked and what didn't, so you learn from your own experience over time.

How does the Animals Farming marketplace work?

The marketplace is where farms list animals, equipment, feed, and health products for sale. If you want to buy, you browse listings by category, country, and state until you find what you need, then send an inquiry to the seller directly from the listing. The negotiation and sale happen between you and the seller — you work out the price, the delivery, and the payment however you both agree.

If you want to sell, you can set up a Marketplace Only account just to list and sell without using the full farm management system, or you can use your Farm Management account to list animals or supplies you have on hand. Either way, when a buyer sends you an inquiry, you handle the conversation and the deal yourself. The marketplace is a way to connect with other farms and find what you need or sell what you have, not a brokerage that takes a cut or handles the transaction for you.

Can I use Animals Farming to manage multiple farms at once?

Yes. One account can run more than one farm, each with its own set of animals, buildings, employees, and records. That's useful if you own land in different locations, run operations under different names, or just want to keep the numbers separate for accounting or management reasons.

Each farm stays separate in the system — the animals, tasks, and financial records don't mix — but you can move between farms from the same dashboard. If you're thinking about expanding to a second location or splitting your operation, you don't have to set up a whole new account or lose access to your first one.

What should I do if an animal gets sick?

Call a veterinarian. The articles and guides on this site give you general information about how to raise and feed animals and spot problems early, but they are not a diagnosis and they are not a substitute for professional help. If an animal is showing signs of illness — appetite loss, unusual behavior, discharge, lameness, or anything else that looks wrong — a vet needs to see it.

Animals Farming helps you keep track of past treatments and health events so you can tell your vet what you've already done, but the vet is the person who examines the animal, figures out what's wrong, and prescribes treatment. Once you have the vet's advice, you can log the visit and the treatment in your animal's health record so you remember it later and know when any withdrawal periods end before you use the animal's products.
